First..  Just why would I want to get TEXT messages on my cell phone every time I make a sale?  Well, first of all, it’s fun.  My wife used to asks me who I was getting a text from when my phone went off.  I just told her I made another $50 bucks and she would smile.  Now, she does not ask any more, but she is still smiling!  So, it’s not just fun but it keeps my wife happy too (it’s worth it just for that alone).  But I digress.

 

There are lots of reasons to use this technique.  Often, response times to customers are one of the biggest factors in getting good customer feedback.  Here are some examples of how I use this technique. 

 

1.     I often sell domain names direct to webmasters.  So I put a sales page on the domain I want to sell and put a “Buy Now” button from PayPal right on the page.  When someone completes the purchase of the domain name, I get a TEXT message within seconds.  This allows me to complete the transaction quickly by sending the buyer the EPP code that allows them to transfer the domain to their registrar.

 

2.     While It been a long time since I have used Clickbank, I used to get a TEXT every time I sold a digital product on Clickbank so I could keep track of my daily sales without even having to log into the Clickbank site.  And guess what..  I will get a TEXT message every time I sell THIS e-book as well..
